Wellington Phoenix host Melbourne Victory at Westpac Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the final regular season round of A-League action. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 3:30pm (AEST).

Wellington will enter this match disappointed with their wasted season.

They have been rooted to the bottom of the table for a majority of the season, besides a brief flirtation with a finals appearance.

Once again they are in a battle for the wooden spoon.

Melbourne Victory on the other hand are one of the four teams strapping themselves into the rollercoaster that will be the final week of fixtures.

Victory can finish between second and fifth, so they will be looking to win and to do so well.

But the home side will draw confidence from memories of the last time the Victorians came across the Tasman.

In that match Wellington spanked the Victory 5-0 with Carlos Hernandez scoring a double.

In team news, Melbourne will be missing marquee defender Pablo Contreras along with Socceroo starlet Tom Rogic.

Wellington just about need a dedicated hospital wing for all their injuries.

Can Wellington finish 2014 off on a high note with a strong performance at home?

Or will the Victory secure themselves a favourable finals spot with a convincing away win?
