A win tonight for Sydney FC will see them secure a place in the A-League finals but standing in their way is a Perth Glory side that is finishing the season strongly. Join us for live scores and commentary from 5.00pm AEDT.

An impressive 4-1 victory over Wellington in terrible conditions last week has Sydney fans optimistic that their team can be a major force in the finals next week.

Some outstanding goals against the Phoenix has raised hope for Sydney in a season where they have been pretty inconsistent.

With their form heading in the right direction however, Sydney will fancy their chances of winning the A-League championship.

Standing in Sydney’s way tonight is a Glory outfit that has impressed in recent victories over the Jets and Mariners.

Perth’s 3-1 victory over the Central Coast in particular should serve as a warning to Sydney. The Glory may have the worst attacking record in the A-League but that mattered little last week as they comprehensively outplayed the in-form Mariners.

Glory forwards Sciola and Chris Harold caused plenty of havoc against the Central Coast and may do so against Sydney with their speed and trickery on the ball.

Perth meanwhile may be in for a long afternoon given Alessandro Del Piero’s recent good run of form. The Italian icon scored two goals last week against Wellington and also provided a neat assist for Ryall’s stunning goal in the second half.

With Del Piero hitting peak form, the Glory face a tough ask repelling a Sydney attack that has begun to blossom in recent weeks.

With both teams in pretty good form, tonight’s contest could end up being a tight affair. With the finals just a week away however, expect Sydney to warm up for their finals campaign with a solid victory tonight.
