So your sitting seventh in the league, you’ve gone from being champions of England to mid-table mediocrity. You boast some of the best players in football yet your team can’t hold a string of passes together.

You’ve just sacked your manager your bitterest rivals are most likely going to win the league.

And there is nothing you can do about it.

Welcome to Manchester United in this year’s EPL season. It’s been quite an experience to be on the other side of things. It’s been humbling to the say the least.

But the rest of the EPL season is a period in my Manchester United life that I have never been so keen to experience. I will cherish it for the rest of my time.

For these next four weeks, we will be able to celebrate our former heroes growing up. These are our legends, the former players who love this incredible club just like we do.

They feel the joy of success just like we do, they suffer when we suffer and the sweetest thing about this all is that no other set of supporters anywhere in world football will ever experience anything close to that.

Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville are leading Manchester United. Four of those six magnificent lads that inspired a generation, and made the impossible dream possible.

Let’s go back to `99, a year where football fans were allowed to dare to dream of going to that special place. That year isn’t just special for what we won, but the manner in which we won it.

We won it the Manchester United way.

Could you believe Giggsy scored that goal against Arsenal? Could you believe that United managed so often that season to come back from being 1-0 down in the dying stages of the biggest matches to win two goals to one?

Could you believe the fact we just won the league by one point, or that we would come back to beat Juventus away from home?

It was a ridiculous, magical and unbelievable fairytale that we got to live through, that we got to brag on about for years. It is a fairytale that lives within the club on a day to day level.

And those four lads who will be leading out United for the rest of the season. After the 4-0 win over Norwich City, it appears we may be in the right hands.
