Friday night sees a trans-Tasman clash between Australia and New Zealand at Allianz Stadium.

The two sides last met five months ago in the final at the Rugby League World Cup.

The Kangaroos dominated the Kiwis in the match, finishing 32-point victors thanks to prolific scoring from Billy Slater and Brett Morris who both nabbed doubles.

The Kangaroos have named a virtually unchanged line-up to the side that beat the Kiwis at Old Trafford. The only changes have been forced, with an injury to Jarryd Hayne seeing Josh Morris brought into the side, while Matt Gillett will make his debut for the Kangaroos, replacing injured teammate Sam Thaiday.

A depleted Kiwi squad is missing a host of stars including Sonny Bill Williams, Issac Luke and Kieran Foran. The omission of Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was also a big surprise from selectors.

The Kiwi side will include six debutants for the match with five-eighth Isaac John plucked straight from the New South Wales Cup.

It is hard to see how the Kangaroos will lose this match, as the 17-member squad is packed with world-class players.

For the Kiwis, plenty of pressure will be placed on halfback Shaun Johnson. The depleted New Zealand squad will need to produce a massive performance to upset the heavily favoured Kangaroos.
