The Melbourne Storm are in a worrying form slump and need a win against the in-form Manly Sea Eagles to regain some much needed confidence. Join us for live scores and commentary from 7:30pm AEST.

Melbourne and Manly collide yet again in a match-up which promises to be as enthralling as their Round 1 blockbuster.

On that occasion, Manly raced out to a 20-0 lead, only for Melbourne to produce one of their greatest comeback victories en route to a 23-22 win.

Such a victory convinced many that the Storm were once again legitimate premiership contenders given that they had defeated Manly without the services of Cooper Cronk.

Since starting the season with three straight wins, the Storm have since taken several blows and do not possess the aura of invincibility that they have had in seasons gone by.

AAMI Park is no longer the fortress it once was, with the Warriors and Titans emerging victorious at Melbourne’s home ground this season.

Even in the games that they have won there, Melbourne barely managed to scrape past the Knights, Panthers and Dragons en route to fairly unconvincing wins by their high standards.

The Sea Eagles are coming to town fresh off a thumping victory over Canberra a fortnight ago.

If the Storm are to get back to their winning ways, they must shut down Manly half Daly Cherry-Evans. Cronk in particular will be keen to have a big game against Cherry-Evans to show Queensland selectors that he remains the best choice at halfback for the Maroons come Origin.

Cronk’s match-up against Cherry-Evans should be a highlight. Both are supremely talented footballers capable of changing the game in an instant, and both players should be at their best tonight with Origin spots on the line.

Manly deserve to start favourites on form but the absence of key players Kieran Foran, Jamie Lyon and Glenn Stewart tonight will hurt their cause. Melbourne usually rise to the occasion against the Sea Eagles and may finally click into gear to record another nail biting win.
