FFA Cup Round of 32 draw announced

The draw for the 2014 and inaugural FFA Cup Round of 32 has been announced in Sydney today, with a few marquee match-ups sure to get Australian football fans salivating.

Six A-League clubs have been drawn against each other, which means the Round of 32 won’t disappoint anyone.

Melbourne City’s first match since the Manchester City takeover will be in the Cup against Sydney FC, who will be boosted by the arrival of new coach Graham Arnold.

The Newcastle Jets will host Perth Glory, while Adelaide United travel to Wellington to take on the Phoenix.

The teams were drawn out of three ‘pots’, Pot A being the top four finishers in the A-League last season, Pot B being the remaining A-League clubs, with Pot C the remaining qualifiers.
