A St George Illawarra Dragons side brimming with confidence after consecutive wins will be out to make it three on the trot against the North Queensland Cowboys tonight. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 5:30pm AEST.

The Dragons put on a clinic against the Storm last week, with Origin centre Josh Dugan starring in the 24-12 victory.

They’ll have to find a different mode of attack this week, however, with Dugan again called into Laurie Daley’s New South Wales side for Game 3.

Gareth Widdop looks the man to spearhead the Dragons, having already laid on 11 tries in 2014. As his side were three wins from as many starts earlier in the season, Widdop had set the competition alight and now looks to be getting back in that vein of form.

While the Cowboys took it to South Sydney last start, Origin and injury will again see a depleted line-up take the field. Captain Jonathan Thurston and prop James Tamou are away on representative duty and will miss the clash. Michael Morgan moves from fullback to halfback, and midweek signing Tautau Moga will make his Cowboys debut in the centres.

Having lost four of their last five matches at Kogarah – and their last three against the Cowboys – the Dragons will be out to make amends in front of what promises to be a large home crowd.

The class of five-eighth Widdop, along with the growing confidence of halves partner Benji Marshall, should see the Dragons take the two competition points.

Dragons by 8.
