A clean sweep from the mighty New South Wales Blues will be all that matters tomorrow night.

Laurie Daley’s men will arrive at Suncorp Stadium knowing the series is wrapped up, but they must have a game plan to win. Walking away from Queensland with a defeat would be a bitter pill to swallow.

The NSW boys will want to rub salt into the wounds, not only on the field, but to the faithful Maroon supporters who will stick around after the match to see Paul Gallen hold the Origin Shield aloft knowing not only have they ended the Maroons’ run of series wins, but also ended a dynasty.

I believe this series win from NSW will kickstart a run of their own and put a halt to the dominance of Queensland.

When you look at the Maroons’ side, they have seven players over the age of 30 and four of them are their key men. Billy Slater, Cam Smith, Cooper Cronk and Johnathan Thurston have been the cornerstone of many of their series triumphs.

With the quartet once-in-a-generation players, I find it hard to see Queensland finding replacements for them any time soon.

On the other side of the coin, the four men for New South Wales in the same positions are young and have loads of improvement in their games to deliver many more series wins for the Blues.

I believe it will be an open affair tomorrow night, with NSW throwing plenty of questions at the Maroons’ defence. Their first two wins were built on defence. Bearing in mind the lack of attack from both sides, I believe this game will be a high scoring contest with plenty of brilliant eye catching moments.

It’s been a long time coming for the Blues to show their dominance in this arena. However come full-time, many will realise the boys in Blue have accomplished something special.

Their theme has been mateship and an attitude to do whatever it takes for your teammate, thanks largely to the strong leadership of coach Daley and skipper Paul Gallen, who have continued to build what it takes to win Origin

With that mindset, why would the Blues go to Suncorp not wanting a 3-0 series win and become complacent? Stand by for something really special.
