Expect plenty of high quality football tonight as the Melbourne Storm take on the Canterbury Bulldogs. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7.30pm AEST.

For the first time in many moons, Melbourne are on course to miss the finals and desperately need a win tonight against a Bulldogs side coming off a great win over Manly.

In good news for the Storm, Cooper Cronk has been declared fit to play after coming through unscathed in his return from injury, Wednesday’s Origin encounter.

Cronk’s inclusion restores Melbourne’s playmaking spine to full strength following a costly Origin period which has seen key players miss matches through injury.

Melbourne will certainly need their superstar trio of Billy Slater, Cameron Smith and Cronk to fire tonight against a physical Bulldogs outfit.

Canterbury are on a high following a terrific victory over the Sea Eagles last week.

The Bulldogs were missing Josh Morris, Josh Reynolds, Trent Hodkinson, Frank Pritchard and Sam Perrett, but still managed to upset ladder leaders Manly.

The Bulldogs were very strong in defence last week and will be tough to crack.

Canterbury will be braced for the arm wrestle tonight and will fancy their chances of breaking down a Melbourne defence that has leaked plenty of points this season.

This contest is a pretty tricky to predict. The Storm at home remain very dangerous but they have lost their aura of invincibility.

Melbourne are certainly beatable at home, particularly if the Bulldogs turn up with their best form.

With Cronk, Slater and Smith coming off good performances against NSW, expect the trio to play with the confidence required to lead Melbourne to a tight win.

Storm by 4.
