MATCH RESULT:

Monday night NRL finished with the Rabbitohs securing a 34-18 victory against the Raiders in Canberra.

It was a game of late flurries here, as this one was very much in the balance with 20 minutes to go.

The Raiders had a couple of late tries to bring some respectability into the scoreline.

Souths have moved to second on the ladder with this performance, and they’ll certainly be there for the second chance when finals come around.

FINAL SCORE:
Raiders 18
Rabbitohs 34

The Raiders copped a 14-point beating from the Storm last weekend, and they find themselves floundering at 15th on the ladder.

While not mathematically eliminated from a finals berth yet, they would need a lot to go their way, and the best they can hope for is to play spoiler for the rest of the season.

A win over the Rabbits would give the Raiders a bit of pride to build on for the rest of the season.

The Rabbitohs are ticking along nicely at this stage, and they come into this one off a 20 point victory over the Eels.

They sit in 4th on the ladder, and they will be looking to keep the wins coming for a potential second chance in the finals.

The Raiders have added Matt Allwood to an extended bench, but they are unlikely to make any changes to the side that lost to the Storm last weekend.

The Rabbitohs have made a couple of changes this week, as Bryson Goodwin comes in to replaces Lote Tuqiri on the wing.

Ben Te’o also returns for the Rabbitohs, forcing Ben Lowe back onto the bench.

Joe Picker and Joel Reddy look like the two men that will fall off the extended bench for the Rabbitohs.

Prediction:
This one should be fairly straight-forward for Souths, and I expect them to pick up a very handy win to boost their already high differential.

Souths by 16.
