There is currently a lot of discontent among the rugby league community in how the game is portrayed and run by the NRL administration.

League fans are hard to please with their constant critical critique of every aspect of the game.

I have come up with a few ideas that might quell the current dissatisfaction of rugby league at the moment.

1. No Monday or Thursday football
Both Monday and Thursday football are crowd killers. For example the Roosters versus Souths in Round 1 on a Thursday ruined a high-drawing game. Typically, Monday football turns high-drawing games to low-drawing games. Meanwhile, the low-drawing games become embarrassing.

As soon as Monday and Thursday football are gone the aggregate attendance will increase significantly.

2. Only one Friday game
No sports fan should sit through delayed coverage in 2014, therefore the second Friday game will be moved to a more family friendly timeslot.

3. Increase daytime football
The second Friday and Monday games will now be played on Saturday afternoon at 1pm and 3pm respectively. This will make super Saturday even bigger with games at 1pm, 3pm, 5.30pm and 7.30pm a buffet of rugby league.

4. Ticket prices halved
All ticket prices will be halved making it more affordable to attend a rugby league game. Two adults, two kids for $25 or two adults, one kid for $20 general admission will be the set price at all rugby league grounds.

5. No more Channel Nine
Channel Nine has caused more harm than good, and the self proclaimed ‘home of rugby league’ has dragged the game down with terrible commentary, delayed coverage and no HD.

The NRL will go to Channel Ten or Channel Seven, with live coverage on Friday and Saturday night along with Sunday afternoon live footy.

Overall, if these ideas were implemented I hope it would garner satisfaction from the league community. Feel free to add more ideas about how we can put rugby league back on the right track for once.
