Finals football once again beckons for the Cowboys following a recent run of good form that has seen the club win its past three matches.

North Queensland will be expected to make it four wins on the trot tonight against a Tigers side clearly hampered by off-field issues.

CATCH UP ON THE LATEST NRL HIGHLIGHTS

The drama surrounding Robbie Farah’s relationship with coach Mick Potter has drained morale at a club that looked well on course to make the eight following a great win against the Bulldogs over a fortnight ago.

Back-to-back defeats to the Dragons and Storm however now leave the Tigers with a mountain to climb if they hope to secure a spot in the finals.

The Cowboys on the other hand are building nicely. D

espite starting slowly against the Titans, North Queensland managed to score 28 unanswered points en route to a 28-8 win.

Captain Johnathan Thurston is enjoying his footy after struggling through the Origin period and looks primed to cause the Tigers defence huge problems tonight.

If Thurston is able to dictate terms tonight, the Cowboys could rack up a big score.

Fullback Michael Morgan is another player capable of opening the Tigers right up if given space to attack.

Given all the drama that’s occurred off the field for the Tigers, one would expect them to come out with a point to prove in a bid to show unity in tough times.

With such a strong record at home though, the Cowboys don’t look like letting another two competition points slip here.

Cowboys by 18.
