MATCH PREVIEW:

The Parramatta Eels are looking to bounce back from a controversial loss last week against a Manly Sea Eagles side stepping ever closer to the minor premiership. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:30pm (AEST).

Parramatta’s last-start loss to the Bulldogs will add some fire to the bellies of many Eels players and fans.

Manly on the other hand are coming off an unconvincing win on the road against the Titans.

While getting away with the win, the Sea Eagles were unconvincing and when combined with their poor performance at the SCG a week earlier, coach Geoff Toovey will be hoping for a return to form.

For Parramatta, Junior Paulo has been named to replace fan favourite Fuifui Moimoi, which saw the energetic front rower leave training early.

Pauli Pauli also drops out of the team with Peni Terepo making a return from a knee injury.

For the visitors, Steve Matai returns to the centres, with Cheyse Blair dropping out of the side.

Much has been made in previous weeks of the magnificent and electric fullbacks in the game.

This match will be no different with Jarryd Hayne going up against Brett Stewart.

While Stewart does not have the flashy tag that many have placed on Hayne, it is Stewart’s combinations with his halves that are so damaging.

Jarryd Hayne on the other hand has been one of the most exciting and successful players this season for the blue and gold. A continued good run in form could prove costly for Manly.

Expect a big game from both Chris Sandow and Jarryd Hayne, while for Manly look for Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran to guide the side around the park in front of what will be a big, vocal crowd at Pirtek Stadium for Parramatta’s last home game of the season.

Prediction:
Parramatta by 2.
