Gold Coast will name their new head coach on Tuesday afternoon, with interim Neil Henry believed to have secured the position.
Henry has been with the Titans since the start of the season as an assistant to former coach John Cartwright, taking up the reins after Cartwright’s resignation at the start of August.
The Titans have called a media conference in Robina, where Henry’s appointment as the club’s new coach should be confirmed.
Henry, the former head coach of North Queensland and Canberra, is yet to win a game in his three games at the helm of the Titans, including a 42-0 hiding by the Warriors last weekend.
The 53-year-old’s first match in charge of the club on a permanent basis will be Sunday’s final round home clash against Canterbury.
Henry faces a huge task reinvigorating the embattled Titans, who are undergoing a full review of their operations following a fourth consecutive year without finals football.
The club has also lost experienced trio Luke Bailey, Ashley Harrison and Mark Minichiello for next season, with Bailey and Harrison retiring and Minichiello heading to the English Super League.
