Sportswriters Brett McKay and Ryan O’Connell have again fallen victim to poor time management in a delayed Episode 52 of the Cheap Seats Podcast.

In this episode, Ryan is caught out not listening (in his own podcast?), while Brett introduces a new segment: #YouBloodyIdiots, where listeners are now invited to point out obvious and stupid errors.

It can only end well.

Episode 52 talking points
– #AskTheCheapSeats: George Bailey’s reality check, and NRC Wallabies;
– #YouBloodyIdiots: featuring mistakes around Henry Speight and Matt Toomua;
– NRL: Manly’s ill-timed form dip fuelling the disharmony fire, Souths make us nervous, North Queensland’s wet sail and the Roosters premiership favouritism;
– Rugby: Ewen McKenzie resists the urge to make major tweaks despite another underwhelming Wallabies performance, very puzzling refereeing, and some NRC scores;
– AFL: a Swans versus Hawthorn grand final already locked in? Impressive wins for North Melbourne and Port Adelaide, injury concerns, and tacit endorsement of jumper-punches;
– Cricket: UAE series squads announced, Steve O’Keefe rockets into Test consideration, and a massive blow for Pakistan; and
– Brett’s Tweet of the Week, and Ryan’s bricks-and-mortar certainty for the weekend.
