It is United, but not as you know it. The Red Devils had turned Old Trafford into less a theatre of dreams, and rather a theatre of screams, as United are without a win in the first three matches of the new season.

There will likely be debuts for several of the signings from the transfer window including Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo.

They join record signing, Angel Di Maria in his second game with Luke Shaw deemed fit enough to be considered.

For the struggling giants, there isn’t a team suited to being the punching bag for a United side, needing to gel quickly than Queens Park Rangers, who look likely relegation candidates after their start to 2014/15 season despite a last start win.

The Rangers, will want to avoid the fate that befell them in the 2012/13 season, being the first side, to be confirmed to go down.

They also have the potential guillotine of ‘Financial Fair Play’ coming down on their necks and relegating them outside the football league.

Focusing on pitch matters, QPR despite the doom and gloom, sit two positions above Manchester United following their one-nil win against Sunderland. Three points or even a draw, would help the Rangers in their dogfight to stay in the Premier League.

The London side could hand some debuts themselves to new signings, Eduardo Vargas and former Tottenham player Sandro. Due to Joey Barton’s unavailability, it may be an Old Trafford return for Rio Ferdinand to add some spice to an already intriguing contest.

Prediction : United 4-1
