As a Roosters fan, Friday’s game was disappointing. It was a brutal affair that the Rabbits truly deserved to win.

Not to sound like I have sour grapes but there was one particular call that bothered me – the Frank Paul Nuuausala knock on. He was clearly concussed and dropped the ball in the play the ball.

The refs ruled a knock on – which was the correct call – but for the life of me could not understand why the video ref did not have a look while the scrum was being packed.

The same thing happened in the second half with Sonny Bill when he was hit high by Sam Burgess. The video ref must look at either all possible high shots or none.

It is a concern that a possible penalty could be decided by a TV producer who may support a certain club.

Souths were dominant and it will take a monumental effort to knock them off in the grand final.

The power of their forwards is incredible and Ben Te’o has just added thrust to this powerful pack. The emergence of Dylan Walker is very impressive and he looks to be one of the most exciting prospects in the game, the faith shown in him by Michael Maguire is huge.

I don’t think there is a centre in the game who has a bigger roving commission.

As a Roosters fan, I want to finish by thanking Anthony Minichiello for his service. He is a fantastic ambassador for the game and always carried himself as gentlemen throughout the years.

He has had a fantastic career that clearly stands up against the all time greats. His stats are legendary: two Premierships, two World Club Challenge victories, The Golden Boot award for best player in the game, 11 Origins for NSW, 18 Tests for Australia and 302 games for the Roosters. He retires as a one-club legend.
