Falling in love all over again - how I rediscovered my passion for hockey
I haven’t been active on The Roar for a while, but old friends here would know - I am passionate about rugby. Getting into…
This one is for all your fantasy players out there and I know there is a few of you. I have posted once before about my NRL Fantasy team, and now with the footy season over I’ve now turned my attention to hockey!
Sure, the local leagues here are completed, but the league in the USA is about to get underway, and I’m itching to return to playing Fantasy.
In last year’s NHL Fantasy I beat out my friends to finish first overall. I was pretty chuffed about that! Hence, after being bitten by the winning bug I’ve returned for another tilt. Instead I’ll be going up against a bunch of random people so it’ll make for some interesting results.
So instead of just playing in one Fantasy comp I have gone and entered into two. Yes two competitions to cover my bases.
These are my teams for both competitions.
My first team is:
Centres: Henrik Zetterberg, Brad Richards
Left Wingers: Zach Parise, Andrew Ladd
Right Wingers: Marion Hossa, Jerome Iginla
Defence: Niklas Kronwall, Brian Campbell, Justin Faulk, Erik Johnson
Bench: Bryan Little, Nazem Kadri, Ondeji Palat, Aaron Ekblad
Goalies: Cory Schneider, Robert Luongo
And my second:
Centre: Henrik Zetterberg, Brad Richards
Left Wingers: Tomas Tatar, Alexander Steen
Right Wingers: Reilly Smith, Shane Doan
Defence: Niklas Kronwall, Drew Doughty, Doug Hamilton, Danny DeKeyser
Utility: Zach Parise,
Bench: Marion Hossa, Eric Staal, John Carlson, Pavel Datsyuk.
I’d love to hear what you think of these teams; the changes you’d put in if you were me, and who would you make in your team, and if you will be joining in playing NHL Fantasy this season.
