The UFC will make Sydney its home on November 8 in what will be the organisation’s sixth event on Australian soil.

The main event will see two top ranked middleweights and bitter rivals, Luck Rockhold and Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping, face off in a five round bout which will have severe title implications for the winner.

The bout order is yet to be determined however the co-main event is expected to be a lightweight bout between Ross Pearson and Al Iaquinta.

Several Australian-based fighters will also take part in the event, including Ultimate Fighter winner Robert Whittaker, Soa Palelei, Anthony Perosh, Dylan Andrews and Richie Vaculik.

#5 Luke Rockhold (12-2) versus #9 Michael Bisping (25-6)
What these two middleweights have in common is that they have both been close to title shots before losing the bout which would have put them over the line. This is such an important fight for both men as the loser of the bout will be put at the back of the line of title contenders.

The stakes were raised with the amount of trash talk that has also taken place between these two men, which got so out of hand it led to Rockhold betting his $100,000 fight on himself winning via knockout in the first round.

Both men are coming off impressive finishes in their last bouts, however Rockhold has shown more consistency in his past fights, where as Bisping has become a glorified gatekeeper for newer talent in the division.

Luke Rockhold’s has the skill to comfortably stand and kick box with Bisping, and his ability to mix his strikes effectively with wrestling could prove to be too much for the Count to handle. With that being said Bisping has proven himself to be as tough as they come. My prediction: Luke Rockhold via unanimous decision.
