World number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia is in hot form as we are heading towards the ATP world tour finals, the last ATP tournament of 2014 calendar.

The Serb comes into London on the back of winning his 20th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris last week.

Djokovic moves closer to year-end, number one ranking after his victory in French capital which gave him a commanding lead over his rivalry Roger Federer. Djokovic was the year-end number one in 2011 and 2012.

The Serb enjoyed another consistent season on court in 2014. He clinched six titles including his second Wimbledon title. He was also the winner of four masters titles (Indian Wells, Miami, Rome and Paris). Furthermore Djokovic ended up with the runner up trophy at Roland Garros after failing in his bid to win his first French Open title.

Djokovic is the two-time defending champion in London, having defeated Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in 2012 and 2013 finals respectively. The Serb is looking for his third consecutive title – which will be his fourth overall – to end yet another consistent season on a high note.

Djokovic has been drawn in Group A along with Stanislas Wawrinka, Thomas Berdych and Marin Cilic. He will face US Open champion Cilic on Monday. He has a dominating 41-5 win loss record against the players of his group.

Djokovic’s head-to-head against players of Group A:
10-0 versus Cilic
15-3 versus Wawrinka
16-2 versus Berdych

The world number one is currently on a 27-match unbeaten streak indoors and should flourish in season ending finale next week. Will he win in London and finish the year on top?
