With the spring carnival done and dusted our attention now turns to the quality overseas and with the Hong Kong season just starting to gain momentum we have another even race card for tonight.

Weather: Cloudy. One or two light rain patches early in the day. The maximum temperature will be about 24 degrees. Moderate northeasterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore later.

Turf: Good (“A” Course)

40-0 Class Five Handicap
Race 1:No. 7 Enjoy The Game
Still a maiden but this is the weakest field he has faced to date. Go close.

60-40 Class Four Handicap
Race 2: No. 10 Fire Starter
Comes back in distance and returns to Happy Valley. Major player.

60-40 Class Four Handicap
Race 3: No. 1 St Yazin
Gets back but will be charging late. Take holding out.

60-40 Class Four Handicap
Race 4: No. 3 Mazandaran
Just missed last time behind Owners’ Glory. Maps well and can break through here.

60-40 Class Four Handicap
Race 5: No. 7 Dragon Glory (Longshot)
Well rated and fitter now with two runs under the belt. Don’t discount.

Hong Kong Country Club Challenge Cup
Race 6: No. 1 Regency King
Proved too strong in the final stages last time and looks the one to beat again.

80-60 Class Three Handicap
Race 7: No. 6 Seasons Star
Very honest and can figure with some luck from the wide gate. Each-way.

80-60 Class Three Handicap
Race 8: No. 8 All Great Friends
Drew away for a cosy win last time. Tougher here but should measure up.

Jockey Challenge
G Mosse (Best Bet)
Has a solid book of rides with two excellent winning chances in St Yazin and All Great Friends. Outstanding value at $4.75.
