German giants Borussia Dortmund come up against Arsenal this morning in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League group clash. Join The Roar from 6:30am (AEDT) for live scores and coverage.

Borussia Dortmund have had a miserable domestic campaign so far, winning just three games from twelve played, and losing seven.

They currently sit third last in the relegation playoff spot, but despite their unimpressive domestic form, they somehow lead their Champions League group.

In fact, Dortmund has won more games in their UCL campaign then they have in the Bundasliga this season. That speaks volumes for the unpredictable form that the BVB are in, and shows just how lethal they can be, even when they’re in the biggest slump of their existence.

Arsenal sit second in the group, five points clear of Anderlecht in third, so they’ll be desperate for a win this morning to secure progression to the knockout phase.

Though Borussia, having come off another poor result to Paderborn on the weekend, will be equally as desperate to continue their run of form in the Champions League.

Sanchez will be a central figure if Arsenal is to win, with the Chilean providing the most assists in the EPL so far this season. Welbeck, Podolski, and Chamberlain also need to be at their best for the Gunners.

Working in Arsenal’s favour is the unfortunate injury to Marcos Reus, who will miss several weeks of football due to an ankle injury suffered on the weekend. The German international has been the shining light for Borussia so far this season, and his presence will be sorely missed at the height of attack.

Stepping into his place, though, is the equally gifted and capable Shinji Kagawa, so there will be no excuses for Dortmund if results don’t go their way.

Both sides are capable of winning this one, and Arsenal will relish the home ground advantage, though Dortmund’s form in the UCL is hard to ignore.
