Controversy as Villa keeper handed second yellow for shootout crowd taunting... but isn't sent off

Cristiano Ronaldo has had a remarkable career so far and it is nowhere near over yet.
The man is nearing the age of 30 and has not slowed down, if anything he has sped up.
Just this past weekend he scored his 23rd hat-trick in La Liga, overtaking Alfredo Di Stefano’s and Zarra’s record of 22.
In the same game, he scored his 200th La Liga goal, which took him just 178 games – the fastest in BBVA history. He has 23 goals in 13 games in the league this season and 30 in 22 all competitions.
It is not only goals; Ronaldo is the top assister in La Liga, tied with Koke of Atletico Madrid at eight.
The question must be asked, can he keep this up?
Well, his current strike rate is 1.38 goals per game and if he keeps this up he could break Messi’s 73-goal record with 84 goals. It is quite impossible for someone of even Ronaldo’s calibre and physical stature to keep up this surreal form.
He has plenty of room for some relaxation and he will have to rest, but with his motivation, drive and love for the game there is a chance he could come close to the Barcelona man’s record.
Especially of late, there has been much debate over Ronaldo and penalties – Penaldo is a nickname often heard.
So far this season he has scored nine penalties is all competitions. But a penalty is still a goal. It takes much practice and patience to have the accuracy and conversion rate Ronaldo has from the spot.
He does not only score penalties, he has lovely chips, free kicks, long shots, volleys, headers and anything else. His penalty statistics make him an even better well-rounded player and they should not take away from everything else he does on the pitch.
Being able to watch this remarkable footballer player is a true gift.
