The Men’s Singles sixth seed, Andy Murray, opens his 2015 Australian Open campaign against Yuki Bhambri on Monday afternoon. Join The Roar for live scores from around 1:00pm (AEDT).

It would be hard for Andy Murray to arrive at an Australia Open with anything other than mixed feelings. He has experienced lots of victories at Melbourne Park, but never made it all the way to claim the Open crown.

Murray has reached the final in 2010, 2011 and 2013, but ultimate success has always alluded him in Australia.

He enters this year’s competition with less expectations to shoulder, after slipping out of the top five in the world rankings. This however will not impact his own high expectations of what he can achieve in Melbourne.

His opponent today also knows the feeling of success in Melbourne, after he claimed the Australian Open Junior Championship in 2009. However, the 22-year-old from New Delhi hasn’t been able to recreate his junior success once joining the mens tour.

He starts today as a massive underdog, with bookies listing Murray at the shortest possible odds of just $1.01.

Bhambri should be aiming to take as much as he can from this match, and importantly keep Murray out on the court for as long as possible.

Winning a set would have to be considered a win today from Bhambri, but unfortunately we can’t see him causing the former world number two any trouble.
