The 2015 Tour Down Under continues with a 144.5 kilometre-long from Glenelg to Mount Barker. Join The Roar from 2:00pm (AEDT) for live coverage of the fourth stage.

With Cadel Evans’ BMC down a rider due to the injury enforced withdrawal of young Campbell Flakemore, will BMC be able to cope with the extra workload?

As the second-last opportunity for the sprinters to secure a stage victory, BMC will be hoping for some assistance controlling any breakaways.

Beginning in Glenelg and following the coast southwards until Sellicks Hill, BMC will be hoping that wind does not play a decisive part in the stage. After Sellicks Hill the race will head eastwards, snaking inland towards Strathalbyn, before venturing northwards for our finish in Mount Barker.

The sprinters couldn’t ask for a better finish than the one they will use in Mount Barker, with the race entering the town via Flaxley Road. Not only is the approach in to town dead straight for the the final three kilometres, but the finish will also be slightly downhill as well, meaning we should be in for a seriously fast sprint.

After seeing Tom Dumoulin move up in to third on the general classifcation, Giant Alpecin will be looking to protect the Dutchman’s standing first and foremost. This means the stage victory could go to one of the other sprinters if Marcel Kittel has to bow out of contention, although the German has struggled to turn favouritism in to actual dominance.

In a race which has thrown up its fair share of surprises so far, what kind of surprises might this stage unearth? Join The Roar from 2:00pm (AEDT) to find out, as we bring you live coverage of Stage 4 of the 2015 Tour Down Under.
