It seems like the fight that the entire world has been waiting for since 2009 is set to become official in the coming days.

According to several sources, Mayweather and Pacquiao privately agreed on terms last Tuesday after their meeting at the Miami Heat game went viral. The two met for over an hour.

It was reported that Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao had agreed on terms to fight the undefeated and undisputed champion Floyd Mayweather in mid-January. Pacquiao reportedly agreed on a 40/60 per cent split of the fight purse, according to his fight promoter Bob Arum.

The two boxers have never been able to go past the negotiation stage, however it seems now that the fight will finally take place in the coming months.

The fight will most likely take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, on May second.

This fight is six years in the making, and many believe that the bout is no longer relevant as both men are believed to be past their prime. Mayweather is 37 and Pacquiao is 36, however both men looked phenomenal in their previous outings.

Nonetheless, it will still be one of the most anticipated bouts in boxing history, and the most profitable fight that both men will likely ever take part in. Mayweather could pocket up to $124 million.

Manny Pacquiao would be fighting for Floyd Mayweather’s world undisputed Welterweight title.

The champion is hold an incredible undefeated record of 47-0, however many believe that Pacquiao could down the champion.

Pacquiao believes he will have no problem handing Mayweather his first ever loss, and had fired shots early over Twitter.

Mayweather will open up as the betting favourite, and most predict he will earn a unanimous decision victory over twelve rounds.

Either way it’s a fight we all can’t wait for.
