Hello and welcome on board for the second leg of this morning’s South African double header as the Durban-based Sharks host the Lions from Growthpoint Kings Park in Durban. You can follow the live scores and coverage of this match from 4.05am (AEDT).

Both of these teams will be eager to right their respective 2015 campaigns after suffering first round defeats on their home grounds, the Lions to the Hurricanes and the Sharks to the Cheetahs.

THE LATEST SUPER RUGBY HIGHLIGHTS

The Lions will be disappointed to have lost their match last weekend after dominating for long periods both with possession and territory.

Despite dominating for much of the match, they lacked the composure to place scoreboard pressure against the Hurricanes both through an inability to land the killer blow and a sub-par performance in the goal kicking department.

Coach Johan Ackermann would have no doubt emphasised the need for his team to execute better when in the opposition 22 and will be hopeful his kickers can take any opportunities presented to them this week.

The Sharks will also be disappointed with their loss to the Cheetahs last week, playing far too loose and not able to match the Cheetahs aggression at the breakdown.

Attempting to play a more attacking style of play than in previous years, it appears coach Gary Gold and his team need a little more time to perfect this new game plan.

The Sharks will be looking to play a more direct game against the Lions, earning the right to go wide and will need to address their physicality, particularly at the breakdown against a committed and organised Lions team.
