TWO GOOD! Zahra wins back-to-back Melbourne Cups on Without a Fight as three horses pull up lame

The first of our Group 1’s for today is the Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m). Join us for live commentary before the race start time at 3:55pm AEDT.
Dissident is the clear favourite here at $1.80 odds, in a race that lacks depth and features a smallish field.
Bull Point has only missed the place once over this distance and has some good form last preparation, finishing not too far away from Terravista, Cluster and Hooked. He is the horse that could upset Dissident and at $11 that could be worth a look.
Suavito returns after 110 days off consecutive victories over longer distances, but is more than capable in this with two wins, and four placings from seven starts over this distance. First up hasn’t missed a place in three starts so could be one to watch at $11.
Driefontein is flying without any wins, racing on some unsuitable ground she could be a real danger to Dissident, however $5.50 is short for my liking.
Of the others Smokin’ Joey is an honest performer, and Entirely Platinum could fill a place.
