The speedsters are set to do battle in the $400,000 Group 1 Galaxy (1100m) join us before the race start time at 3:50pm AEDT for commentary and tips.

What a race we have here with Tiger Tees looking to go back to back, unless the track is wet I think there is just too much going against him to win. The same with Time for Julia who normally has a good first up record and was taken to pieces in the Oakleigh Plate.

I’m going for a boil over here with Va Pensiero a steep drop in weight following a second over the 1000m against Miracles of Life. Has never been out of the Quinella on the track and at $17 is some great value in a hard race.

Fast ‘N’ Rocking drops half a kilo on his Oakleigh Plate effort where he finished third behind Shamal Wind and Under the Louvre. Has only missed the trifecta once over the distance and $11 presents great value.

Flamberge has been solid in his return finishing second behind Chataqua and then third behind Peron and Chloe In Paris. He gets a four kilo swing in the weights on Chloe In Paris which should make up the two lengths.

Peter Moody scored a knock out last week and a win here really wouldn’t surprise me.

Knoydart finished fourth in the 1000m challenge behind Miracles of Life, I think he has to make up some lengths on Va Pensiero here though.

Avoid Lightning comes off a good third in the Millie Fox, however I think we need to have some sting out of the track for her to be successful here. One for the multiples though at $11.

Deep Field drops in weight and wasn’t far from Brazen Beau in the 1000m Lightning. One thinks Moreira made Brazen Beau improve much more but still it was an impressive win, you have to include Deep Field but at $4.20 I’m happy to take on.

Sweet Idea hasn’t missed the trifecta in eight starts fresh, but is a big unknown at the distance. Not a known sprinter and $9 is too short for me.

Miracles of Life won the 1000m Challenge last time out, but doesn’t see the weight drop of her rivals. For me that is too much to make up especially as she is a $6 quote.

Include Chloe in Paris and Kuro in multiples I don’t think they can win though, happy to also take on Atmospherical and Villa Verde.

Brent Ford selections:
1. Va Pensiero 2. Flamberge 3. Deep Field 4. Fast ‘N’ Rocking
