The South Sydney Rabbitohs are looking at three straight wins to start their season when they take on the undefeated Wests Tigers on Sunday Afternoon. Join The Roar for live scores from 4:00pm (AEDT).

The Rabbitohs haven’t shown any signs of a premiership hangover in the early going this season, beating the Broncos by 30 in Brisbane in Round 1, before getting over the Roosters in what was probably the game of the year so far. They take on the Tigers full of confidence.

The Tigers have made a very nice start to their season, picking up back-to-back wins over the Titans and the Dragons respectively. The Rabbitohs are another challenge entirely though, and the Tigers can’t expect their performances so far this season to get them over the line on Sunday.

They’ll be hoping for a complete team performance to try and knock off the premiers.

The Rabbitohs have named an unchanged 17 for this clash, although they have added 3 players to an extended bench. Tim Grant, Cameron McInnes and Darryl Millard will all be hoping for a call-up on game-day, and with John Sutton having been ruled out with injury since Team List Tuesday, one of those three will certainly play on Sunday.

The Tigers have also named an unchanged 17, but Martin Taupau is under a slight concussion cloud coming into the weekend. As a result of this, Lamar Liolevave has been named on an extended bench.

Souths’ halves were brilliant last weekend, and another strong performance from Adam Reynolds and Luke Keary should be enough to chalk another win up for the Rabbitohs.

For the Tigers, it’s the 1, 6, and 7 that will lead them to victory. James Tedesco, in particular, was brilliant last weekend, and another strong performance from the young fullback could cause the Rabbitohs some headaches.

Prediction
The Rabbitohs have the better side, and they should be too strong on the day. The Tigers won’t get blown out, but this game won’t feel particularly close.
