There has been much to talk about as the 2015 NRL competition enters its fifth round, and there are sure to be many twists and turns before the season is over.

Here are five hypotheses for the rest of the 2015 seasons:

1. The South Sydney Rabbitohs will make the Grand Final
Glenn Stewart and Tim Grant have proven that they are worthy of replacing Sam Burgess and Ben Te’o. South Sydney’s determination from last season has carried over to this one, and Greg Inglis is rapidly showing that 2015 is his year. Already with three convincing wins under their belt, there is no doubt that the Rabbitohs will be playing finals football.

2. James Tamou signs with the Dragons
St George are lacking size, however the presence of James Tamou could be the key to success for the Dragons. If James Tamou wants to play in Sydney, he will want to play in a team that needs rebuilding. Tamou would be a perfect fit at the Dragons, should coach Paul McGregor decide to sign the big prop.

3. Daly Cherry-Evans or Kieran Foran will backflip on their 2015 deal
It seems like the entire nation knew about Cherry-Evans’ deal with the Titans, however Foran’s four-year deal with Parramatta wasn’t reported anywhere near as much, and my bet is that Foran is yet to confirm the deal. James Tedesco back-flipped on a four million dollar deal with the Raiders last year, and Foran may go through the same ordeal.

4. The Dragons will make the top eight
St George currently sit in 11th place on the NRL table with two wins and two losses. However, the Dragons are an ever-improving side, and I believe a top-eight finish is within reach for them. With their fans behind them, look for a seventh place finish for the Saints.

5. Sam Burgess signs with the Sea Eagles
Lets be honest, big Sam Burgess is not a rugby union player. Similarly to Benji Marshall, he will want to come back to the NRL- but not with his former team.

The Eagles are in disarray, and with their halves most likely leaving Manly are in dire need of some marque signings. Mateo, Mason and Burgess seems like a good fit, and have also drawn the interest of the Rabbitohs and the Dragons. However, with St George-Illawarra low on funds, the race could very well come down to Manly and South Sydney.
