Racing Victoria and the Victorian Jockeys’ Association reported on Monday morning that jockey Jack Hill’s condition has been revised from critical but stable to serious but stable.

Hill, 24, crashed to the turf after falling off his mount Muckle Toon in race 4 at Donald on Friday. Hill was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital and while breathing, remained unconscious with tests taken early on Saturday morning.

The latest news from Racing Victoria described Hill’s condition at around 10:00am on Monday as ‘positive’.

This follows from Sunday afternoon’s update which stated Hill had not regained consciousness but was able to breathe unassisted.

Following his fall the race meeting at Donald was later abandoned following consultation between stewards and jockeys.
