Hello and welcome to live coverage of this New Zealand derby match as neighbours the Blues and Chiefs clash at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.

Both teams come into the match with very different motivation, the Chiefs looking to consolidate their position amongst the competition’s leaders and the Blues simply searching for their first win of the season.
Both sides enjoy playing with ball in hand in what promises to be an open and exciting affair.
Of major concern for the Chiefs in recent weeks has been their discipline, conceding not just a number of penalties in their last few outings but Red and Yellow cards – this will have been a disappointment for the Chiefs coaching staff and players alike.
Adapting to the Referees interpretation would have been hot on the menu during training last week and will see tonight if the appropriate improvements have been made.
The Chiefs are certainly irresistible with ball in hand and if they have their offloading and support play on song tonight you would suspect it will be a long night for the struggling Blues franchise.
In saying that, if the Chiefs are not on top of their game the Blues certainly have the firepower out wide to make them pay and they will be competitive with an experienced pack will provide opportunities for the Blues to take advantage of, whether they can remains to be seen.
