TWO GOOD! Zahra wins back-to-back Melbourne Cups on Without a Fight as three horses pull up lame

A great field has assembled for the $1 million Group 1 Queen of the Turf Stakes (1600m). Join us before the race start-time at 3:15pm (AEST).
This race smells of a blow-out chance, so I’m going to have a go at tipping one.
Hera hasn’t been out of the quinella at this distance, loves the wet track and if not blocked for a run could have won the Coolmore Classic. At $151 on some books she is worth throwing in your multiples!
The great mare Catkins is three from four this preparation. The magic man Joao Moreira jumps on for this one, she loves a soft track, and will be a big chance at $4.80.
You can forgive Cosmic Endeavour for her Doncaster run – on the short back-up she was never in the race. But she loves a soft track, and $13 is a great quote, especially when she is the only mare to defeat Catkins this preparation.
Noble Protector comes into this one off the back of two dominant wins, but there is a big step up in quality here. Good mare, but the $3.60 quote is too short for my liking.
First Seal is the only other runner I’m really interested in. $3.30 is a solid quote for a good horse who is unbeaten on a soft track, but she disappointed when sent out as a favourite in her last two quotes at shorter-than-even money.
Selections
1. Hera 2. Catkins 3. Cosmic Endeavour 4. First Seal
