Massimo Luongo is certainly a wanted man after his impressive season with Swindon Town and his fantastic performance during the Socceroos’ Asian Cup campaign.

The Socceroos and Ange Postecoglou took a chance on the player after seeing his great start to the season with Swindon Town, and he repaid their faith. Massimo has only gotten better as the season went on and so many offers are now surrounding the 22-year-old.

Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are just two of the many who are rumoured to be wanting the acquire the services of the player.

The fans and supporters of Swindon Town are up in arms about their star player weighing up options from different clubs. They believe he has betrayed them and his loyalty to club, along with believing he is following the money.

It certainly isn’t that way at all. Massimo Luongo deserves a move up to the English Premier League after his performances.

The third tier of English football is definitely no place for a player of his standards and the fans of Swindon Town are failing to see this. They are blinded by their frustration, but it was always going to happen.

A player of his standards would certainly leave for a club higher in the English football heirarchy, a club that can give him a chance to improve his game and win trophies.

Massimo Luongo has a bright future ahead of himself if he can make it to a bigger club like the ones that have been rumoured to want him. He more than likely will jump at the opportunity and the fans of Swindon Town should be grateful to have had his services for as long as they did.
