At the end of last season Brisbane lost by far the most dangerous forward of the AFL in Jonathan Brown. But the Lions’ list features some others who are only a few levels below Brown.

(Be sure to check out Part 1, going over the Crows’ forward line.)

1. Josh Green
As the Lions’ leading goal scorer last year, Green has shown class and strength, laying 48 tackles at a average of 2.4 per game and 67 touches within the 50 area. He has shown that he is the ideal replacement for Brown.

With an accuracy of 63.5per cent, he has become a main part of Brisbane’s 22.

2. Lewis Taylor
With only 25 game under his belt Taylor has shown the talent and skill required to be an important part of Brisbane’s forward line. His only drawback is his 41.4 per cent accuracy.

3. Michael Close
Out for the season, Close will be missed.

4. Daniel Merrett
Also out at the moment due to injures.

Allen Christensen misses out due to his inaccuracy in front of goal last year, but so far this season he is at 57 per cent accuracy and is becoming stronger. Can he keep it up? Only time will tell.

The Lions have some good forwards but they need time to develop. Their start to the season has not been the best, and this could be a long season for Brisbane, but this will bring experience and these guys are the future of the Lions’ forward line.
