Martin needs to fire for the Tigers to win

I said it before and will say it again. If I was not a Hawks supporter, I would be a Tigers supporter as I have always had a soft spot for them.

This week they come up against an improving Melbourne team that are starting to show that they are not as easy to beat as they were before. Here are four things that I think will need to go right for the Tigers to win.

1. Dustin Martin
He improves every year and can open a game up in seconds, especially if he has a performance where he is able to let lose.

He will destroy the Demons if he fires.

2. Jesse Hogan
He may have only played three games of AFL, but he looks very dangerous and is only a game or so away from coming out and destroying a team by himself. The Tigers defence will have to control him and make sure he has few scoring opportunities.

3. Trent Cotchin
In the first game of the season, Cotchin looked out of place, but since then he has exploded with 34 disposals against the Dogs and 37 against the Lions. He is helping get the ball into the Tigers forward line more then you would want one player to be able to do.

4. The Melbourne forward line
With Chris Dawes, Jeff Garlet, Jesse Hogan and Jack Watts in the Melbourne forward line, the Dees have the potential to be very formidable. If all four start to fire on the same game and start kicking goals, watch out Tigers!
