After seeing Fox Sports reporting it too, the rumours around Louis van Gaal’s summer transfer plans for Manchester United are beginning to hold some truths.
Van Gaal is looking to provide his United side with some further new faces to assist the recent acquisitions in pushing the Red Devils towards silverware.
Angel Di Maria, who is beginning to understand the ways of Van Gaal’s tactics, is one of the many players who will benefit from added players to squad with likes of Paul Pogba, Mats Hummels and Gareth Bale all rumoured to be targets.
These players are all fantastic athletes at the moment but are beginning to show signs of unsettlement in their respective clubs. It would definitely be the perfect opportunity for Van Gaal to pounce with some considerably high bids to obtain the services of the three world-class players.
Otherwise contracts extensions could be signed and they will be locked away for good.
Van Gaal can certainly already challenge for the title next season after the impact he has managed to make after just one season, which has seen him shift the entire way United operates. He has successfully changed their style of play to suit his ideals, which consists of short, quick and speedy bursts from defenders and midfield players who can deliver long balls into the box to create continuous goal opportunities.
If Van Gaal can manage to get the aforementioned players for his club then it would certainly provide a much more defensive-minded side that can also provide plenty of attacking options.
