It’s the battle of the Coasts in Perth on Saturday Night, as the red-hot West Coast Eagles take on the struggling Gold Coast Suns at Domain Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:40pm AEST.

The Eagles are coming into this game off the back of a huge road victory over the Power. They currently sit at second on the ladder with four wins, and they’ll be hoping to record a big win over the Suns to further reinforce their position.

The Suns have been decimated by both injury and suspension so far this season, and that has manifested itself into their 1-5 record. They weren’t terrible against the Crows last weekend, buy they won’t be racking up any wins until their list looks semi-healthy again. With key guys injured all over the park, the Suns are staring down the barrel of a pretty terrible season.

The Eagles have made one change for this game, with Jackson Nelson making way for Mark Hutchings. After the performance they put in against the Power last Sunday, this team is looking set for good things in 2015.

The Suns have made five changes for this clash, welcoming back Trent McKenzie, Brandon Matera and Harley Bennell from suspension. Jack Leslie and Danny Stanely will also return for this game. The men to miss are Rory Thompson (hip injury), Adam Saad (hamstring injury), Joshua Glenn (ankle injury), Clay Cameron (calf injury), and Mitch Hallahan (omitted).

We’ll see how that impacts their play, especially as they are still missing their influential skipper.

Prediction

Despite the fact that the Eagles are decimated down back, they still look a better side all over the park. Expect the Eagles to win the midfield battle on their way to a big victory. Kennedy and LeCras could both have field days in this one.
