As the Premier League season finished on Sunday, the dream was over for three teams. Hull City joined QPR and Burnley on the drop down to the Championship.

While it is always a source of major disappointment for a club when they are relegated, there will always be some players who have performed well in a relegation season and get another opportunity to stay in the top division with other clubs looking to bolster their squads.

Here is a list of some players from QPR who may be worth another opportunity at the top level for another club.

Charlie Austin
Austin has almost been a lone hand in keeping QPR up with his goals. 17 goals from 30 Premier League starts is a wonderful effort with many people tipping the striker to not only be a good signing for another club, but also be in the mix for an England call-up.

Austin was reluctant to sign any contract extension during the current campaign and he will most certainly be elsewhere next campaign. He is probably the player that QPR can also fetch the highest fee for if they sell.

Leroy Fer
The statistic of being relegated with Norwich and QPR in consecutive seasons is not an omen some clubs will like to see. But at 25 years of age the midfielder still has plenty of good football ahead of him.

He has been around the mark for the national side, and scored his first international goal for the Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup. He scored five goals this season and will certainly attract interest.

He had previously agreed terms with Everton before coming to England but a knee issue in his medical led Everton to pulling the pin on the deal. His goal just over a week ago against Newcastle highlighted his quality. However, his lack of work ethic has also been questioned with a lazy performance against Leicester in the last game of the season.

Alex McCarthy
McCarthy was always a highly rated goalkeeper coming through England under-19 and 21 ranks and made his senior debut in friendlies again Ireland and Brazil in 2013.

This coincided with good club form at Reading where he made 44 starts in the 2013-14 season. McCarthy joined QPR for the 2014-15 season but only made three league appearance. QPR see him as the long term replacement for Rob Green but the highly rated keeper will attract interest, he did initially turn down Liverpool before signing with QPR.

Armand Traore
At only 25 years of Traore has plenty of good football ahead of him. A former Arsenal junior he has also spent time at Portsmouth and Juventus before joining QPR.

He has had a couple on injury and form issues over the journey but will certainly attract some interest with many teams in need of reinforcements at left back.

Due to financial constraints QPR will be forced to sell players. Steven Caulker and Junior Hoilett will be others who may be of interest. The unpredictable Adel Tarrabt always seems to pop up during transfer discussion.

One thing is for certain, it could be a long way back to the Premier League for QPR.
