Another weekend of great footy has come and gone, so who makes our Team of the Round?

Back Pocket: Dane Rampe (Sydney)
Rampe has continued his career best season with another solid display against the Suns where he finished with 31 possessions playing as a third tall defender.

He used the ball at 81 per cent where his left-foot was as precise as ever. Rampe also took 12 marks and took two bounces as he provided plenty of drive off of half-back.

Full-Back: Alex Rance (Richmond)
Rance completely blanketed Mathew Pavlich, keeping the Dockers skipped goalless. It was an excellent defensive effort.

Back Pocket: Zach Tuohy (Carlton)
Tuohy was excellent in defence for the Blues, managing to restrict Eddie Betts to a lone goal. Betts was second on the Coleman medal ladder leading into the round but was completely blanketed by Tuohy. Tuohy also managed to provide some offensive run, finishing with 20 disposals and a goal.

Half-Back Flank: Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn)
Mitchell was superb for the Hawks, playing through the midfield and off of the half-back flank. He collected 35 disposals and delivered the ball inside 50 on five occasions. Despite spending limited time in the midfield, he also managed to collect eight clearances (five from the centre).

Centre-Half Back: Harry Taylor (Geelong)
Harry Taylor mopped up everything in Geelong’s back half against the Bombers as he finished with 33 disposals, more than any other player on the ground. Taylor was a presencee in the air, taking 10 marks, many of which cut off the Essendon attacks, while also coming across to spoil when unable to mark (he had seven one-percenters).

Half-Back Flank: Jarrad McVeigh (Sydney)
McVeigh was prolific off of the flanks for the Swans finishing with 39 touches at a disposal efficiency of 80 per cent. He found plenty of the ball in space with 30 uncontested possessions, allowing him to provide plenty of drive as he finished with a combined 12 inside and rebound 50s.

Wing: Dan Hannebery (Sydney)
As good as McVeigh was, Hannebery was even better with 42 touches and seven inside 50s. He has been one of the most consistent midfielders in the competition this year and will have polled plenty of Brownlow votes.

Center: Ollie Wines (Port Adelaide)
Wines was a force in the Port Adelaide midfield, finishing with a round high 23 contested possessions and equal round-high 11 clearances. With fellow midfielders Travis Boak and Robbie Gray not up to their usual standard, Wines stood up and was key to the Power’s three quarter time lead.

Wing: Lewis Jetta (Sydney)
Lewis Jetta has been the stand-out winger in the competition this year and his run and carry and silky skills were again a highlight in Saturday’s game against the Suns. Each of his 31 disposals posed a significant threat to the Suns. He also had eight uncontested marks, three rebound 50s, four inside 50s and four rebound 50s.

Half-Forward Flank: Dayne Beams (Brisbane)
Beams kicked three goals to go with his 29 disposals in a strong display. Of his disposals, 13 were contested, only 6 were ineffective, 7 were clearances and 9 were marks. Although he kicked three goals, he could have had more, with a total of six shots on goal.

Centre-Half Forward: Josh Jenkins (Adelaide)
Jenkins stood up in the Adelaide attack to lead his side to victory with a five-goal haul. Jenkins dominated in the air and at ground level as he finished with eight marks (three contested and four inside 50) and 18 disposals.

Half-Forward Flank: Shaun Higgins (North Melbourne)
In what was a tough day for skills with a howling wind in Hobart that made it near-imposilbe to hit a target by foot, Higgins class stood out in a best on ground display according to the coaches. Higgins kicked four goals from his 22 disposals and provided a spark in the midfield and forward line.

Along with Jack Ziebell, he was the match winner as the Roos kicked ahead in the last quarter despite kicking into the wind.

Forward Pocket: Chad Wingard (Port Adelaide)
Without a genuine small forward dominating this week, Wingard has been selected in the forward pocket despite splitting his time between the forward line and midfield. Wingard was electric forward, taking three marks inside 50 to go with his 3.2, while also giving off three other shots on goal.

Full-Forward: Travis Cloke (Collingwood)
Cloke dominated Melbourne pair Tom McDonald and Lynden Dunn to finish with an equal career high seven goals against the Demons. McDonald, in All-Australian form, was slaughtered by Cloke in the first quarter as the big forward kicked four goals in the opening term.

Cloke finished with eight marks (5 inside 50 and 5 contested) and was clearly the best player on the ground.

Forward Pocket: Lance Franklin (Sydney)
Franklin was in everything early and, had he been a little more selfish, could have finished with much more than the three goals he kicked against the depleted Suns backline. Early in the game he featured in just about every Swans score and he finished with 17 touches, five inside 50s and five shots on goal.

Ruck: Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle)
Sandilands backed up his massive effort last week by breaking another record – the most hit-outs to advantage in one game. He finished with a massive 23 hit-outs to advantage and led the Dockers midfield to a dominant win in clearances (52-35).

Ruck Rover: Nathan Jones (Melbourne)
Jones put in another strong performance against the Magpies with 34 disposals, eight clearances, seven tackles, six inside 50s and two goals. Jones has stepped up his game again this year after winning his third consecutive best and fairest and the Demons.

Rover: Callum Ward (Greater Western Sydney)
The Giant’s co-captain was ferocious against the Lions, leading his young midfield to a dominant win over the Lions midfield.

Interchange: Jack Steven (St Kilda)
Despite the Saints’ heavy loss to the Hawks, Steven was awarded best on ground after collecting 38 touches in his 100th game. His elite running was again on show, collecting 28 uncontested possessions, while still having an impact at the stoppages with seven clearances.

Interchange: Bernie Vince (Melbourne)
Along with his captain, Vince was prolific against the Magpies as he collected 34 disposals and kicked two goals. Despite collecting 13 disposals, Vince still operated at a disposal efficiency of 74 per cent. He also had seven clearances and delivered the ball inside 50 on six occasions.

Interchange: Dustin Martin (Richmond)
Martin was the best midfielder on the ground during Richmond’s upset win on Friday night as he finished with 34 touches and a goal. He was explosive through the middle of the ground and found plenty of space, collecting 24 uncontested possessions and eight marks.

Interchange: Adam Oxley (Collingwood)
Playing as the loose man in the Collingwood defence, Oxley intercepted everything that came his way and provided the run out of defence that was not matched by any Melbourne defender. Of his 14 marks, eight were from Melbourne kicks and it allowed him to finish with 30 disposals in an outstanding performance.
