Sportswriters Brett McKay and Ryan O’Connell have their selection caps back on in Episode 77 of the Cheap Seats podcast.

#AskTheCheapSeats this week includes NSW State of Origin selection, the St George Illawarra bandwagon, English batsmen, and the return of Quade Cooper.

NSW and Queensland have named their teams for State of Origin Game 2, with only a few changes here and there, and Queenslanders very quick to forgive Daly Cherry-Evans. In the NRL, Parramatta fell in the mother of all heaps, we tackle Ryan’s thought on trimming the 13th player on the field, and we again ponder who’s this week’s premiership favourite?

In other news, the Super Rugby finalists have been decided, Chris Judd calls it a day, Fremantle were beaten and we provided some actual insight, Australia won the first cricket Test in the Caribbean, and the NBA Finals are under way.

Plus there’s a wrap up of the Cheap Seats Tipping League, which you can still join here.
