EPL fans’ guide to summer 2015 with no World Cup or Euro Championship

Following the conclusion of English domestic football season for 2014-15 and the superb climax of the UEFA Champions League final with Barcelona’s triple clinching victory last weekend, many fans will be wondering where to get their next football fix.

There is no World Cup or European Championship to enjoy this summer but there is plenty of action to enjoy. Many players from EPL clubs will feature at the Copa America 2015 in Chile this month and next season’s curtain raising Community Shield is only just over six weeks away.

There is plenty for hungry football fanatics to enjoy over the summer months and Ticketbis.net have created a handy guide to the summer with all the key football dates.

Watch the Copa America 2015 in Chile
Fans can enjoy the South American nations in action in this summer’s 2015 Copa America in Chile from 11th June to fourth July as 12 nations come together to do battle.

Uruguay are the Copa America title holders, having beaten Paraguay in the 2011 final. The tournament sees a number of Premier League stars and players from the Football League involved with their national squads:

Watch the Euro 2016 qualifiers
England’s European Championship Qualifying Group E fixture away at Slovenia on Sunday (14th June) is their last of the season.

The rest of Europe will also be in action over the 12th-14th June weekend as the road to Euro 2016 in France continues, with the next match day after this taking place from third-5th September.

Watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup
The FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 tournament commenced on sixth June and runs until fifth July. Japan are the defending champions with the USA, Germany and Norway also being previous winners. England play in Group F with Colombia, France and Mexico in what is shaping up as an exciting 24-team tournament.

Plan next season’s Premier League games
The Premier League fixtures for the 2015-16 season are set to be announced on Wednesday 17th June at 9am. The 23rd Premier League campaign will kick-off on Saturday August eighth.

Watch the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League qualifiers
Throughout July the teams involved in the preliminary UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds will return to action early from their summer breaks.

Indeed as early as 30th June the first match day of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round takes place but the involved teams have to go through three rounds before they even get to the play-off, the first legs of which take place on 18th and 19th August – and that’s when Manchester United will be involved.

Watch the Barclays Asia Trophy in Singapore
Arsenal, Everton, Stoke City and a Singapore Select XI team are the teams set to line-up at this year’s Barclays Asia Trophy in Singapore.

The four-team knockout competition is scheduled to take place over two match days on 15th and 18th July, with a final and a play-off to decide third place on the second of those match days.

Watch the 2015 Emirates Cup
On their return from Asia Arsenal will play host to Olympique Lyonnais, Villarreal and VfL Wolfsburg for the Emirates Cup 2015 on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July 26th. This is the eighth edition of summer the tournament.

The customary preseason finale and the curtain raiser on the forthcoming Premier League season sees champions Chelsea take on FA Cup winners Arsenal at Wembley.

Who will your club sign this summer? Last year Premier League clubs spent a combined total of £835million in the summer transfer window and in 2013 that figure was £630million.

The transfer window officially commences on first July and this year closes at 6pm on Tuesday first September, as Monday 31st August is a Bank Holiday.
