Brett Stewart kicked off proceedings in a wet encounter at Brookvale Oval between the Sea Eagles and Tigers with an early try on the left-side.

Mitchell Moses hit back 10 minutes later after Kevin Naiqama ran 80m off a Foran intercept to level the scores.

The Tigers scored again in the 25th minute when the Tigers’ attack spread wide to Richards who gave Wests the lead.

The Tigers didn’t keep their lead for long with Steve Matai hitting back off a Kieran Foran kick in the 34th minute.

Manly scored again after Feleti Mateo passed the ball inside to Kieran Foran with a minute to go before the break that saw Manly race ahead to hold an 8-point lead going into half-time.

Cherry-Evans was denied a try early on in the second half after he failed to ground the ball. However, Brett Stewart replied grabbing his second try for the night.

Who will massive man mountain Martin Taupau target this week? Last week, Taupau was instrumental in the Tigers’ win terrorising his opponents.

The big Kiwi prop forward will step up and take on Manly’s small forward pack.

The Tiger Cubs’ halves will face a big challenge in representative halves Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans – who is backing up from State of Origin.

Peta Hiku moves to the centres in place of the injured Jamie Lyon with Tom Trbojevic coming onto the wing for Manly. Tom Symonds starts in the back row for the suspended Justin Horo with James Hasson coming onto an extended bench alongside Josh Starling. Daly Cherry-Evans has been named to back-up from Origin.

Aaron Woods has been named to back-up for the Tigers replacing Sauaso Sue, Jack Buchanan has been named on an extended bench. Robbie Farah has not been named and won’t play.

The Tigers are coming off a terrorising win over the Rabbitohs with Kiwi prop forward Martin Taupau having stepped up for the Tigers however, they have struggled to win matches over the past few weeks.

Currently sitting at the bottom of the ladder, Manly haven’t won since Round 9 where they took down the Knights 30-10, but they do come off some rest with the bye.

In the 21 games played between the two sides since 1998 the Sea Eagles have won 13 with the Tigers taking out 8 matches.

The Tigers have only won 1 from 9 at Brookvale Oval.

Prediction: Manly have struggled over the past few weeks however, expect them to bring their game against the Tigers and step it up. They may not be able to match the Tigers’ forward pack but history says they will win.

Manly by 4.
