The Brisbane Broncos come up against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon in what’s shaping to be the match of round 15. Join The Roar from 4pm for live blog coverage.

Melbourne Storm, despite currently sitting in fourth position, have a mountain to climb against the Broncos this afternoon as they look to bounce back from their shock defeat to the Eels last week. Missing Cronk and Slater due to injury, Melbourne will struggle to replace two major assets at home against the League Leaders.

Brisbane have been a different story since the return of Super-Coach Wayne Bennett. Sitting tied on 22 points at the head of the table, they edge the Cowboys in Point Difference and look set to add another 2 points to their lead.

Selection:

Brisbane have six players returning from Origin duty, with all set to return to their starting positions. Thaiday, Boyd, Gillet, Parker, McGuire and Hodges should slot back in, with Francis Molo likely to be pushed out of the lineup.

For Melbourne, Will Chambers and Cameron Smith will come back into the squad, though Billy Slater won’t be returning for the rest of the season as his Season-Ending shoulder surgery takes place on Tuesday. Likely to slot into his position is Cameron Munster.

Prediction:

It’ll be a big match, and one that both teams should expect to compete for, but Brisbane look too strong, with what is close to a full squad, depending on Justin Hodges and his guilty plea. Without Cronk and Slater, Melbourne should struggle and with Brisbane in strong form, they will be very difficult to stop.
