Ana Ivanovic continues her Wimbledon campaign tonight against Bethanie Mattek Sands of the United States of America. Join The Roar for live scores from around 1:00am (AEST).

Ivanovic was impressive during his first match of The Championships, dispatching her opponent Yi-Fan Xu (6-1, 6-1) and she will be looking to continue this blistering form against the unorthodox American Mattek-Sands.

After performing well at Roland Garros in 2015 reaching the semi-finals, the Serb has renewed confidence with herself on the court, resulting in better performances consistently across all surfaces.

After reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon in 2007, Ivanovic has never made it past the fourth round (reaching the mark in 2009 and 2013). Her stats in the first round at the All England Club suggest that she might be back to her best form on the grass.

Against Xu, Ivanovic won 79 per cent of first serves and won 75 per cent of net points, supporting the fact that Ana is playing with new found confidence and aggression. This was also supported by her winners count standing at 29 against just 18 unforced errors in the match.

Although, it must not be ignored that her opponent today is also finding some good form on the grass. Through qualifying Mattek Sands did not drop a set and this continued in his impressive first round victory against Alison Van Uytanck 6-3, 6-2.

With four grass court matches already under her belt at The Championships, Mattek Sands has seemingly found her best form, just at the wrong time for Ivanovic.

Prediction:
Although Mattek Sands may be finding some good tennis at Wimbledon, Ivanovic looks to be back to her professional and fearless self. Expect Ana to win this one in two tight sets.
