World number 78 from Holland, Robin Haase will take on third seed Andy Murray when day four action from Wimbledon 2015 gets underway. Join The Roar from 10:00pm (AEST) for live scores.

In the first round at Wimbledon Andy Murray was dominant in defeating Mikhail Kukushkin. A straight sets victory was the result for Murray and he never let his opponent get a real sniff at even winning a set. This was of course despite the middle set going to a tie breaker, which Murray dominated.

A straight sets victory like this backs up the form he was displaying in the lead up to Wimbledon. In his one tournament, the AEGON Championships, where despite the fact he was playing lowly ranked opponents he only dropped one set in five matches, to Gilles Muller.

Haase meanwhile, in terms of form, has been punching above what his world ranking would have you believe, having won games against the likes of Fernando Verdasco and Ivo Karlovic.

His first round match at Wimbledon was a four set victory, rather dominantly, over Alejandro Falla.

Haase however is not a great friend of the grass courts, only winning about 42 per cent of games on the grass surface throughout his career.

The experience gap between the two players is also massive. Haase has played in six tournaments at Wimbledon, never making it past the third round, whilst Murray has played in four tournaments racking some pretty good statistics including one win and one a runner up finish.

If Haase doesn’t make a good start then things could get very, very ugly for him. Murray will certainly look to put the foot down early with a strong serve and keep Haase right out of the game.

The pair have faced off on four previous occasions, never at Wimbledon, but three times in Grand Slams: twice at the US Open and once at the Australian Open.

Their last clash was at the 2014 US Open in the back end of last year, a opening round match which Murray won in four sets. Haase took Murray to five sets at the US Open in 2011, meaning he knows what it takes – well, not necessarily what it takes to beat Murray, but certainly what it takes to push him all the way.

The bookmakers however, rate Haase as next to no chance, with $23.00 odds on him.

Prediction: Murray should win this game in a canter, however I can see Haase getting in and fighting hard, not giving away too many break points, and maybe even being able to pick up a set.

Murray in four sets.
