Radwanska must improve on her offensive skills and weak serve, her weaknesses need to be healed to stop Jankovic from progressing to the quarter-finals. The experienced Serbian will know that her opponent will target her weaknesses. Agnieszka’s strong line defence should get her through to the next stage.

Jankovic will no doubt look to target Radwanska’s serve and poor offensive play. However, she is coming off a win in three sets and will be tired coming into this one. This means she must look to capitalise early and try to secure a win in straight sets. As the match progresses, you fancy Jankovic will tire noticably.

Radwanska’s lack of fighting power may help her achieve this, but only if she allows her head to drop. For her, the key battle today is a mental one against herself.

Radwanska and Jankovic have played seven times, Radwanska has won five matches with Jankovic taking two wins.

Their most recent meeting saw Jankovic defeat Radwanska in straight sets at Rome in 2014, 6-4, 6-4. Radwanska is fresh off a win over Australian Casey Dellacqua in straight sets 6-1, 6-4. Jankovic defeated Kvitova in three sets 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Both are in form, and this should be an intriguing contest.
