Pospisil must try and slow down Troicki’s play to avoid fatigue, and if possible, reduce the number of games and sets played.
Troicki will look to exploit Pospisil’s weaknesses and hope that his serving can win him cheap points. The Serbian is also in a better situation conditioning-wise coming off a four set match as opposed to his opponent’s five set match.
This will be the first time Pospisil and Troicki have played each other.
Pospisil has a win-loss record in his last ten matches of 5-5. He is coming off a third round win in five sets over James Ward 6-4, 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 8-6.
Troicki has a record of 7-3 in his last ten matches and is coming off a win over German surprise packet Dustin Brown in four sets 6-4, 7-6, 4-6, 6-3.
