Serena Williams will look to continue her incredible run of form and dominance over Victoria Azarenka when they clash in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon 2015. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from around 11:30pm (AEST), or following the Sharapova versus Vandeweghe match.

Williams has been in brilliant form during recent times and you have to go all the way back to May 14, before the start of the French Open, to find her last loss in any match. Since then she has won the French Open and dominated every match she has played in.

Her Wimbledon campaign so far has also been dominant, only losing the single set, which came in her third round match against Heather Watson. While her first two round matches were against players that shouldn’t have troubled her and didn’t, her fourth round match was against her sister Venus Williams and she managed to win in straight sets.

Moving onto Tuesday night’s game, Serena will aim to not let her opponent Victoria Azarenka into the match at all and run away with the victory.

Twenty-third seed Azarenka was not in the greatest form in the lead up to The Championships, however her form at Wimbledon has been dominant and she hasn’t dropped a set throughout her four matches so far, despite battling an injury coming in.

Her best performance at Wimbledon is a pair of semi-final performances and she will be keen to go better than that this year.

The pair have both been on the professional circuit for a number of years, and played their first of 20 matches in 2008. In the last seven years they have faced up regularly and Williams has always held the ascendancy between the pair, winning 17 of their 20 match ups on the WTA Tour.

Out of these 20 matches, three of them have been at Wimbledon and Azarenka has been defeated in straight sets each time, twice in the semi-final and once in the quarter-final. They have also faced off seven times in the other three grand slams and Williams has also won all of these matches.

The last time the pair played was in the third round of the French Open earlier this year, Williams winning that one in three sets after dropping the first.

Prediction
Azarenka doesn’t beat Williams often and with the form Williams has been in throughout the year it is hard to see it happening this time. While Azarenka has a solid record on grass she should suffer her fourth loss against Williams at Wimbledon in her career, although may be able to pinch a set.

Serena Williams in three sets.
